Charging Your WattCycle LiFePO4 Battery: 3 Easy Options
1. Solar Power:
Harness the sun's energy! With effective sunshine for 4.5 hours a day, a 300W solar panel system can fully charge your battery in a single day.
Solar panel flexibility: Larger solar panels (greater than 300W) can also charge your battery, but charging times may vary depending on sunlight intensity and duration.
2. Generator/Alternator:
Compatible power source is key: Ensure your generator or alternator provides a DC output. In this case, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect it to the battery.
AC output option: If your generator/alternator uses AC output, consult our recommendations for a suitable battery charger to connect it to your battery.
Charging recommendations:
Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.6V ± 0.2V
Recommended Charging Current:
① 20A (0.2C): Charges the battery to 100% capacity in approximately 5 hours.
② 50A (0.5C): Charges the battery to around 97% capacity in approximately 2 hours (faster charging, slightly lower capacity).
3. LiFePO4 Dedicated Chargers (for 12V Batteries):
Recommended charger: We recommend using a 14.6V battery charger specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries.
Charging recommendations:
Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.6V ± 0.2V
Recommended Charging Current:

1) Brand: Only connect WattCycle brand batteries (ensure compatibility).
2) Type: All batteries must be lithium type.
Voltage: All batteries must have the same voltage (12V in this case).
3) Capacity: All batteries must have the same capacity (100Ah).
4) BMS: Ensure all batteries have the same Battery Management System (BMS).
5) Purchase Date: Ideally, connect batteries purchased within 3-6 months of each other (for similar performance characteristics).
Not following these guidelines could damage your batteries.
