Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the workflow of a Battery Management System (BMS)?
A1:
Over-charge Voltage Cut-off (>15V):
If the voltage of a single cell exceeds the specified threshold during charging, the BMS will stop charging.
Over-discharge Voltage Cut-off (<8.8V):
If a single cell falls below the specified threshold, when the battery voltage drops below 8.8V, the BMS will prevent further discharge. The battery will automatically reconnect when the voltage recovers to 10.8V.
High Temperature Charging (>158°F/70°C) and Discharging (>167°F/75°C):
If the internal temperature of the battery reaches 158°F (70°C), the BMS will not allow charging.
If the internal temperature of the battery reaches 167°F (75°C), the BMS will not allow discharging.
Low Temperature Charging (<32°F/0°C) and Discharging (<-4°F/-20°C):
The BMS will not allow charging below 32°F (0°C), but will continue discharging down to -4°F (-20°C).
Note: The operating temperature range for WattCycle 12V series products is -4°F (-20°C) to 140°F (65°C).
Q2: How to Check Battery Voltage?
A2:
If you don't have a battery monitor, you can use a multimeter to monitor the voltage.
Q3: The battery is at 0V, what should I do?
A3:
This is likely due to the overcurrent or short circuit protection being triggered. Please disconnect the battery cables from the load and test the battery voltage.
- If the voltage is above 10.8V, reconnect the battery cables.
- If the voltage is below 10.8V, please contact our technical team at service@wattcycle.com.
Q4: What is the warranty process?
A4:
We offer free warranty service for up to 5 years.
Note: After purchasing the battery, please register for warranty on our official website www.wattcycle.com immediately.
Failure to register within one month will be considered as waiver of warranty service.

Q5: How can l get my battery capacity?
A5:
Battery capacity can be roughly estimated by the following voltage method.
Test steps:
1. Disconnect the charger or load.
2. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
3. Test the open circuit voltage.
Q6: Can it be used in humid environments?
A6:
It adopts a sealed packaging design and waterproof casing, and the sealed positive and negative electrodes can achieve IP67 protection.
This allows you to use it in humid environments.
In order to give the battery a better service life, we recommend that you use it in a dry, ventilated and cool environment.
Q7: Is it fire-proof?
A7:
Lithium batteries are generally not fireproof. Then, WattCycle takes a series of safety measures during design and use to prevent fire or explosion. These measures include using fireproof materials to construct battery cases (non-flammable ABS plastic), using battery management systems to monitor battery status, and using fuses and other measures to prevent overcharge or over discharge.
Q8: What is the difference between 12V100Ah MINI and 12V100Ah?
A8:
