WattCycle 16kWh 48V 314Ah LiFePO₄ Battery FAQs

Yes. The WattCycle WT48V314AH300INFBT has successfully completed the Clean Energy Council's technical assessment stage, with written confirmation received.

Formal inclusion on the CEC Approved Batteries List is still pending.

Not at this stage. Although the battery has completed the CEC technical assessment, it has not yet been formally listed on the CEC Approved Batteries List.

Federal STC incentives cannot currently be claimed for this model. Future eligibility will depend on official product listing and all applicable program and installation requirements.

For now, the battery is primarily recommended for compatible off-grid energy storage and professionally designed backup systems.

This 51.2V 314Ah floor-standing LiFePO₄ battery provides 16.07kWh of energy storage and is designed for off-grid homes, farm properties, workshops and professionally configured backup power systems.

One battery stores approximately 3.14 times the energy of a 5.12kWh battery, reducing the number of batteries, cables and parallel connections required. It is a practical choice for customers who need higher overnight capacity in one cabinet.

Runtime depends on the combined power consumption of the connected appliances.

As a simple theoretical guide:

A 1,000W average load: approximately 16 hours
A 2,000W average load: approximately 8 hours
A 4,000W average load: approximately 4 hours

Actual runtime will be lower after allowing for inverter efficiency, battery settings, temperature and system losses.

Estimated runtime = usable battery energy ÷ average load.

Send us your daily electricity usage and essential appliance list if you need help selecting the correct battery capacity.

The battery supports a standard charge and discharge current of 150A, equivalent to approximately 7.68kW at 51.2V. Its powerful 300A BMS can support up to approximately 15.36kW of DC output, subject to the inverter, cabling and complete system design.

Actual AC output and appliance start-up capacity are determined by the inverter. High-demand appliances such as air conditioners, pumps, heaters and power tools must remain within both the battery and inverter limits.

An inverter is not included. This is a 51.2V DC battery and requires a compatible 48V/51.2V inverter-charger to power standard AC appliances.

The battery supports CAN and RS485 communication, but this does not mean it works with every inverter model. Compatibility depends on:

Inverter voltage range
Battery charging settings
CAN or RS485 communication protocol
Inverter firmware
Communication cable pin configuration

Please send us your inverter brand and exact model number before ordering so that compatibility can be checked.

Grid connection and rebate eligibility are not automatic. They depend on the complete battery and inverter combination, the current Clean Energy Council approved product lists, network requirements and installation by an appropriately accredited professional.

CE, IEC, FCC, EMC, RoHS or UN38.3 documentation does not by itself confirm Australian grid-connection or government-rebate eligibility.

If you intend to use this battery in a grid-connected system, export electricity, join a VPP or claim a rebate, ask your installer to verify the exact battery and inverter models before purchasing. It is primarily suited to compatible off-grid, farm, workshop and professionally designed backup applications.

The standard charging current is 150A, with a maximum supported current of approximately 305A.

Under ideal conditions:

150A charging: approximately 2.1 hours
Maximum-current charging: approximately 1 hour

Actual charging time may be longer because of charging losses, temperature, state of charge and charger limitations. One-hour charging requires a compatible high-power inverter-charger and correctly sized electrical protection.

The recommended charging temperature is 0°C to 55°C, while the discharge range is -20°C to 60°C.

The battery measures 450 × 240 × 880 mm and weighs approximately 115kg. Swivel wheels make positioning easier, but the battery should be securely restrained after installation and should not be treated as a portable power station.

Up to 20 matching batteries can be connected in parallel, expanding storage capacity from 16.07kWh to approximately 321kWh. Parallel systems require matching batteries, balanced cable lengths, suitable busbars, DC protection and a compatible inverter.

Due to the battery’s weight and high current capability, professional system design and installation are strongly recommended.

1. Cell Overcharge Protection and Recovery
When the voltage of any cell is higher than the set value of the cell overcharge voltage, and the time of duration reaches the cell overcharge delay, the system enters the overcharge protection state, the charging MOS will turn off, and the battery cannot be charged. After the cell overcharge protection, when the voltage of all cells drops below the cell overcharge recovery value, the overcharge protection state is released. It can also be released by discharge.

2. Overall Overcharge Protection and Recovery
When the overall voltage is higher than the overall over-voltage set value, and the time of duration reaches the overall overcharge delay, the system enters the overcharge protection state, turns off the charging MOS, and cannot charge the battery. When the overall voltage drops below the recovery value of the overall over-voltage protection, the overcharge protection state is released, and it can also be released by discharge.

great support by lyra

i had an issue with one of my batteries which had to be replaced. the support given by lyra was fantastic as it was not an easy delivery. i was in malta when this occured and heading to sicily and on to tunisia. dpd cannot deliver to any european islands or africa. eventually a contact was coming from greece so lyra managed to get the battery sent there after a lot of work. well done lyra you are a credit to wattcycle.

Exceeded my expectations

The WattCycle 12000 Super is a capable 12kW split-phase all-in-one inverter with a standout 200A bypass, dual MPPTs rated for up to 24kW of PV, and strong 250A hybrid charging that exceeded expectations once running, handling real loads, surge, and whole-home scenarios better than anticipated. That said, the learning curve is kinda steep thanks to a mediocre manual with unclear or incomplete guidance on settings like neutral-ground bonding and priorities, and the included Solarman app plus Wi-Fi dongle is pretty bad—flaky connectivity, limited usability, and extremely slow update speed that make monitoring frustrating. Getting it talking cleanly to Solar Assistant was also a tough process with workarounds needed rather than plug-and-play support. Overall it’s a solid hardware performer for the money if you’re comfortable digging into forums and videos, but the documentation and monitoring ecosystem hold it back from being truly hassle-free. If you are just looking for the ultimate all in one inverter with a 200a bypass this is definitely it.

Customer service

I don't normally do reviews or surveys. I'm doing this one because I have a mixed opinion.
I received some assistance fairly quickly VIA email, but called with a question when installing my batteries and never received any response to my message. I had a concern about how I was connecting them, and worried that I could damage the batteries or cause other problems. Fortunately, neither came to fruition.

Only option is Purolator shipping

Only option is Purolator shipping, who NEVER deliver on time. My order is now 1.5 weeks overdue, no word on a solution yet.

Pleased

Quite happy.

Useful App

It was nice being able to see the charging statistics and verify my RV charging system was working and how many amps were being fed to the battery when charging from the generator, or the shore power, or from the Alternator while driving. I feel more comfortable with the switch from lead-acid to LiFePO4

Customer service is awful. Sent me the wrong battery. Then wouldn't send the right one until I sent the old one back. They said they would do a cross shipment so I would recieve my battery faster. I've been without power for 3 weeks now. This company sucks and so does their customer service. I will never buy another battery from them again. Ill be switching to eg4 batteries. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THEY DO NOT GIVE A SINGLE SHIT ABOUT YOU OR YOUR SITUATION. Absolute shit company. I still dont have my new battery.

Doesn’t match charge level

I’ve used this battery in conjunction with a delta 3 for about a month and while it charges through the inverter, they never match charge levels or even come close. In the morning after an evening of discharge, the delta 3 will show around 64% and the battery shows around 94%. For test purposes I set max discharge to 30% and it shut off at 30% as expected but there was more than 70% left on the watt cycle. While it does seem to last longer with the watt cycle, it will still run out of power when there’s plenty of battery left. Not sure if the issue is in my settings or if this is just how it works.

Great product and communication

The package was shipped and received well. I noticed I was missing some of the bolts and contacted customer service who helped me out in a timely manner. I would certainly buy again if I needed more batteries.

Watt 100ah smart mini lifepo4

Couldnt be happier with this battery . Was previously using a lead acid leisure battery and getting no more than a days fishing and that is flyfishing so alot of start / stop and mostly lower gears . Now though after putting the new watt battery to the test i cant believe the difference , ive even added a few hours of trolling to the mix and i got four days fishing with 22% life still to go. We even had a wake behind the boat at full speed which i never remember seeing with this motor . The motor is a minnkota endura 50lb and at least 15 year old . The old leisure battery was over 5 years old but like i said i dont ever remember the motor having that much power . So to sum it up im absolutly delighted with my purchase which i pondered over for far too long
The blutooth is something every battery going forward should have , gives you prfect cotroll over your consumption for the following days fishing . Happy days now i just have to start catching

Good price

Good price. One side of the battery is not flat. Let's hope it is manufacturing and not old cell.

Never received the advertised monitor.

Never received the advertised monitor. Emailed support about the monitor and ecoflow adapter, was told they'd be coming in separate packages. The ecoflow adapter showed up, the monitor didn't. Battery works, but I really wish they would just send what I paid for. I could've ordered something similar from Temu for half the price.... and I've had success with Temu batteries.

WattCycle GC2 - Delta 2 backup

Purchased a WattCycle GC2 as a Economical alternative backup to a Delta2 purchased several years ago. Been using several weeks and it has more than doubled the original Capacity. Nice! not too heavy either.
I knew it had Bluetooth but was disappointed I could not connect to Wi-Fi like the Delta 2. hopefully some smart UTuber will figure it out.
When I am right next to it the battery runs anywhere from 5% - 10% with the Delta 2. Seems to be OK.
Got the new App loaded and it is a vast improvement form the original. Still have to be very close to the WattCycle to use it.
Service was great and my thanks goes out to Talia in service for staying with me from ordering to setup and all questions in-between.

Poor customer service. Need better description of the product

I was expecting this inverted to support 200 amp grid panel as it stated on description but when I installed the inverter it only supports 60amp grid panel. Tried to reach customer support but support is from China which took 2 weeks. Still no resolution of exchange to 200amp inverter. Got stuck with 3 inverters I had to improvise. I would have paid the difference in price to get the right inverter.

All I wanted

Made my camper a boondock beast.

Excellent Battery with Great Bluetooth Monitoring

I’ve been very impressed with my WattCycle 314Ah LiFePO4 battery. It operates wonderfully and provides an incredible amount of capacity in such a compact package.

One of my favorite features is the built-in Bluetooth monitoring. Being able to open the app and immediately see the battery’s state of charge, current draw, charging status, voltage, temperature, and other important information is extremely useful, especially in an RV.

I also really appreciate WattCycle’s newly redesigned app. The new interface is clean, intuitive, and makes it much easier to see exactly what the battery is doing at a glance.

So far, I’m extremely pleased with both the performance of the battery and the Bluetooth functionality. It’s been a great upgrade for our RV electrical system.

The batteries are in excellent shape after shipping. Looking forward to using them. Thank you.

Clean looking product.

Battery arrived with damage where left front stand screws in. Looks like shipper dropped crate. Otherwise, nice devices. Didn't realize i needed two of these to fully power my house so had to order a second set.
